The Beatles insane work ethic
In the space of just 7 short years, The Beatles were able to produce some of the most inventive music ever. To achieve this, they also needed to work unlike anyone else.

Why does everyone love Pet Sounds so much?
The man doesn't sing - he screams and growls...
Wally is so inspiring! not to mention the videoclips for his songs! which is another layer, amazing! He is such a great sensitive musician! Bronte, Thanks for your time and so on, such great songs!
And their work ethic was?
Meat 👉🏻 11:00
Eurithmics comes to mind.
In his statement, Wally didn't officially rule out more Gotye music. Read the fine print in that screenshot at 11:27 and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Exactly.
"She Said She Said" is junk and doesn't belong with Eleanor Rigby and Here, There, and Everywhere. Of course, Taxman is junk, too. That album is a mix of genius and garbage.
love videos like this! always awesome to learn more about a defining song from my past
2:35 “no one else had done before” …except Brian Wilson
Not sure how "authentic" using samples of other people's music is...just sayin'.....
I think the fact that you have the audacity to lure us into this video with this AI created Clickbait picture is beyond disgraceful! How disrespectful towards us! Screw this video! Clickbaiters like you should be banned from UA-cam for using pictures like this!
7 years and it will be remembered for the next 777,000 yrs = the Beatles
Props to the musicians who actually wrote this music and not the thief who stole it.
Possibly the best commentary I’ve ever heard about the Beatles! Bravo!
questioning why a musician quit music and then advertising an AI that is a slap in the face to musicians seems extremely myopic. "Do not recommend channel"
I have such a weird connection to this dude. My video professor at art school, Peer Bode, has the largest archive of work by Jean-Jacques Perrey, a French electronic composer, and Goyte is like really into him, like has done tribute concerts for him. He literally spent a few weeks at my professors studio going through the archive and everyone in my class was flabbergasted when my professor casually brought this up. Like we were are just in shock that this dude was hanging out with Goyte in our TINY college town.
I'm convinced there are a lot of evil, nasty things happening in the music scene, and that many one-hit wonders are folks who just declined to sell their soul, so to speak.
Musical geniuses, driven, hard working, fun loving. All good things must end though.
They not only wrote songs for their group..but their leftover ideas were given to others! Amazing.
Great work man, love your channel
Perhaps because John and Paul went to Art College, and we know that art is often about pushing boundaries, it maybe helped them not to be bound by rules?
i remember Gangnam Style taking the wind out of the sails (i could be totally wrong on this timeline) but Gotye's song gave me a musical revival and I remember being so let down when he never came back for another hit
It's really easy with fame to get sucked into making music for the fans, rather than for yourself. It's a trade-off and hard to sustain as an indie when there's not much money in it. I know it was the same in the 80s.
Wow really great video Thank you!
They didnt write a thing ...they were a manufactured band..fact,,,,,,,,,,from the worlds biggest beatles fan. RESEARCH PLEASE
Paul's insane work ethic. John, Ringo and George said it themselves in various ways over the decades.
Of course The Beatles knew chords. They were an accomplished performance group before recording. You don't just stick your fingers anywhere on a guitar neck, hope for the best, and produce some of the best sounds of that era. Lyrics are often scribbled down without chords, so you don't forget them. But a song only has a handful of chords that can be easily remembered. John and Paul, after working on a song, would show the chords to George; there's lots of evidence of this. Paul also had formal piano lessons as a child but found them boring.
way to short..
Hormones of youth are an incredible motivator!
I love this song. Now that I know the backstory of Gotye, it makes me value and appreciate his songs even more. Thank you for staying true to yourself.
That would really tic me off, Lennon bringing his girl friend to work!!
Unlike Kurt Cobain, Jamie Lenman, John Deacon and I'm sure many others Wally wasn't intimidated by the music industry, but just chose to end a chapter on a high
Excellent video and very insightful. I have explored this idea as well, I would to do a collab with you about this idea...
The Beatles didn’t have an insane work ethic. Paul did. He was the one who got them into the studio. Especially as time went on, he was the driving force. And the others didn’t always thank him for it. At least then
Great song but the moral is..play your OWN music. Don't sample.
If you want to hear a perfect 1 time recording listen to Miles Davis "So What" 1 take Miles Davis on trumpet, John Coltrane on tenor sax, Cannonball Adderley on alto sax, Bill Evans on piano, Paul Chambers on bass and Jimmy Cobb on drums. ua-cam.com/video/ylXk1LBvIqU/v-deo.html
Listen to an alternate take of Tomorrow Never Knows. That song is considered one of the most groundbreaking tunes, but in this alternate take John is just fooling around towards the like it's really not a big deal what they're doing.
Wondering what Paul’s contribution to She Said actually was?
My work ethic would go up too if I was making millions of dollars off of it
Nah. Gotye didn't go nowhere. He just disappeared, rebranded, and became Hozier 🤣🤣
work ethic? Don't make me laugh! the Beatles were broken, producers walked out, band members walked out, they couldn't rehearse or tour together... there many bands who produced more works in the same time AND toured!!
Thanks for making this video. I knew there hadn't been more "Gotye", but didn't realize he was involved in other projects. I'm definitely going to look into The Basics.
Ok but he didn't have to cut me off
"Perfectionism will paralyse." Churchill :0)
What i liked about the song is that it is so incredibly good at capturing the 80s era and the type of very individual creatity with regards to the sound and video... and his voice. Just one of the greatest post 2000 songs created. I am sure he still is making music some where. You can't cage a talent like that.
When I hear this song, I picture those 2 six-year-olds lipsyncing in the back seat.
The Beatles debut album in the USA was "Meet the Beatles" not Please, Please me.
More proof they were a psyop and were being fed the music
11 months ago you dropped this and still nothing )):
